Business Objective of Role
This position is responsible for the smooth operation of the Anaerobic Digestion Plant (AD Plant) and all relevant systems. This includes day to day operations, including managing the efficient intake and processing of incoming waste streams (packaged, liquid or bulk) within the AD Plant Receival Hall to ensure received wastes are processed in a timely and efficient manner into the AD Plant tank network, operating the control system, continuous monitoring of the system in relation to digestate levels, gas production, generator performance and flare operations.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Support the AD Plant Supervisor in the safe and efficient operation of the Anaerobic Digestion Plant to maximise energy production and overall plant performance
* Manage the intake and processing of incoming waste streams within the AD Plant Receival Hall, including packaged, liquid, and bulk waste. This includes de-packaging, handling, and transferring materials into the AD Plant tank network in a timely, safe, and efficient manner to ensure consistent feedstock supply
* Operate and monitor the SCADA control systems, responding to alarms, faults, and system irregularities to maintain continuous and optimal plant performance. Respond to SCADA system afterhours, including weekends and public holidays on an on-call rotation
* Continuously monitor key plant parameters, including digestate levels, biogas production, generator performance, and flare operations, taking appropriate action to maintain safe and efficient operations
* Ensure all waste receival documentation and compliance records are accurately completed and maintained in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements
* Operate all equipment and machinery in a safe manner and in accordance with standard operating procedures, safe work practices, and site safety requirements
* Maintain Plant within all Manufatures requirements and keep records
* Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all equipment is maintained in line with manufacturer requirements and operational standards
* Work collaboratively within a team environment to achieve operational targets while maintaining a strong focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
* Undertake other duties as reasonably required, consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the role
Experience and Expertise
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Understanding of Chain of Responsibility in regard to bulk deliveries and outgoing items
* Forklift Licence (High Risk Work Licence)
* Telescoping Telehandler (High Risk Work Licence) Preferable
* Driving license
* Trade qualification desirable
* Experience in Waste Water Treatment or Gas Production desirable
* Computer literacy with Microsoft suite and an understanding of an IT Monitoring system.
