About the Role
As Head Chef, you'll take ownership of kitchen operations, driving consistency and quality across both the bistro and The Lakehouse Sunshine Coast. This role suits a hands-on leader who values structure, builds strong teams, and delivers high standards at scale.
Collaborative endeavours with our Group Executive Head Chef and General Manager Food will expand your thinking, foster healthy relationships with well-renowned industry professionals, and provide opportunities for self-development, career growth, and team progression.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead and manage all kitchen operations across bistro and functions
* Drive consistency, quality, and presentation of all food offerings
* Develop, coach, and inspire a high-performing kitchen team
* Manage stock, ordering, and cost control to meet financial targets
* Management of labour and cost of goods to meet financial targets
* Oversee menu execution and contribute to menu development
* Ensure compliance with food safety and WHS standards
* Work collaboratively with the Venue Leadership Team to drive overallperformance
What We're Looking For
* Proven 3–5 years' experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume venue
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
* Experience managing large-scale service and events, including functions and weddings
* Solid understanding of food cost control and kitchen financial management
* Hands-on, solutions-focused approach to kitchen operations
* Passion for delivering quality food and consistent service
