We are seeking an experienced Construction Leading Hands to join our growing team, supporting large-scale commercial and residential projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for motivated and reliable operators who take pride in their workmanship, lead by example, and can support site management with day-to-day operations.
About the Role
You will work closely with the Site Manager to coordinate trades, manage daily tasks, and maintain a safe and productive site. The role is hands-on and will suit someone who is confident operating machinery and experienced across a wide range of construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist Site Manager with daily coordination of trades and site activities
* Lead and mentor labourers and subcontractors
* Operate machinery as required (tickets highly desirable)
* Perform skilled labouring tasks and use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
* Ensure quality control and compliance with safety standards
* Maintain clean, organised, and hazard-free work areas
* Support project delivery on fast-paced, large-scale builds
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Leading Hand on commercial or residential construction sites
* Machinery operation tickets (highly desirable)
* Strong hand tool and labouring skills
* Ability to read plans and follow site instructions
* Solid understanding of OHS requirements
* Reliable, proactive, and able to work unsupervised when required
* Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
