About the Role
The WHS Business Partner will support the delivery of a safe, compliant working environment and positive safety culture for all employees. This role will work proactively with stakeholders to build WHS capability across the organization and embed best practice safety systems. As strong collaboration and workplace culture are central to achieving our goals, this is a fully site-based, in-person role, working across our office and designated sites.
Full Time Role
Key Responsibilities
* Support incident management, investigations and corrective action planning
* Conduct assurance activities to review WHS risks and evaluate compliance against WHS legislation and relevant codes of practice
* Develop and deliver WHS training and guidance to leaders and frontline staff
* Lead risk assessments, audits and workplace inspections
* Provide practical, risk‐based advice on the application of WHS legislation and the Autism Association's WHS policies and procedures in alignment with industry‐specific leading practices
* Manage and maintain emergency response requirements for the Association in alignment with WHS and NDIS requirements
* Support workers' compensation and injury management processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in a similar Work Health and Safety role, with experience in a complex service environment highly regarded
* Solid knowledge of WHS legislation and related practices
* Ability to influence and build capability across a diverse workforce
* Strong investigation, analytical and problem‐solving skills
* Relevant qualifications in WHS (minimum Certificate IV in WHS)
* Required clearances: National Police Clearance, Providing First Aid, and a valid driving licence in Western Australia
