About the role
We are helping an elite US law firm find banking and finance lawyers for their growing team in Australia.
Their team acts for top tier lenders and sponsors in connection with leveraged, acquisition, project finance and other complex cross-border finance transactions.
They have clients in every state of Australia, across the Asia-Pacific region and around the globe and provide advice on all aspects of the energy, infrastructure, power (including renewable energy) mining & metals sectors, and on high-profile public market and private equity M&A transactions.
Key Responsibilities
* Acting for top tier lenders and sponsors in connection with leveraged, acquisition, project finance and other complex cross-border finance transactions.
* Managing day-to-day communication involved in ensuring that deals are running smoothly – conveying information to clients, outside parties, and responding to queries and requests.
* Contributing to the growth and development of the practice.
Qualifications
* PQE 2 - 7
* Experience in general banking finance from a highly regarded law firm
* Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity, creative and analytical thinker
* Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal.
* Strong time management skills, ability to stay calm under pressure when working across multiple deals.
* Client service focus and commercial awareness
* Team player
* Strong judgment
