About the opportunity
Morgan Consulting has partnered with a well-established fresh food producer to appoint a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager.
You will sell products into grocery, wholesale, and food service, build long-term relationships, and grow revenue and market share.
Food industry experience is great, not essential, attitude and sales discipline are.

What you will do
Identify and develop new business with distributors, restaurants, wholesalers, and grocery banners through cold calling, networking, and smart outreach
Manage and grow existing accounts, deliver excellent service, and increase range and volume
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Understand customer needs and tailor solutions, including cage free and free range
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms
Track market trends and competitor activity to spot growth opportunities
Work closely with production and logistics to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries
Maintain clean records of calls, visits, pipeline, and forecasts in the CRM
What you bring
Proven sales success, ideally in food, agriculture, or consumer goods
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Comfortable on the road, able to travel locally and regionally for client visits and events
Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools, Zoho experience helpful
How success is measured
Sales volume and revenue growth
New account acquisition and range expansion
Customer satisfaction and retention
Accurate, on-time reporting and forecasting
