About the role
Are you a hands-on individual who enjoys keeping spaces safe, functional, and beautiful? As a Handyman, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. You'll be part of a passionate and supportive team, contributing to the upkeep of our facilities, and overall environment to ensure everyone enjoys their experience here.
Key Responsibilities
In this diverse role, your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting building and equipment maintenance under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
* Monitoring completed work and addressing any arising issues.
* Performing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
* Proactively ensuring high standards to prevent damage or hazards through early intervention.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in a similar role, with knowledge of general maintenance and repair procedures.
* Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Skilled in communication and capable of working with all levels of employees and residents.
* Physically fit and enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
* Valid NSW driver's license (manual preferred).
* Empathetic and approachable, with a willingness to help the elderly.
* Familiar with WHS rules, policies, and procedures.
* Availability to work Monday to Friday each week.
* Willingness to complete a criminal history check or provide a current police check
* Eligibility to work in Australia
