Senior Project Engineer - Wind Farm Project (FRP Scope)
2/1 FIFO | Brisbane-Based Mobilisation | $20M FRP Package
A National specialist subcontractor has recently been awarded a $20 million FRP scope on a major wind farm project in regional Australia, and we are now seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a full-time basis.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-performing Project Engineer ready to step up into their first Senior role, working under the guidance of one of the most respected Project Managers on the eastern seaboard.
The Role
The project has just been awarded, offering you the rare opportunity to be involved from day one.
* Initial 6 weeks based at the Brisbane HQ, focused on:
* Resource planning and workforce mobilisation
* Procurement and supplier engagement
* Constructability input and early works planning
* Following this, you will transition to site on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off FIFO roster, flying out of Brisbane Airport, for the remaining 6 months of the project.
You will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of a complex FRP scope on a large-scale renewable energy project.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Project Manager in end-to-end project delivery
* Detailed planning, scheduling, and coordination of site activities
* Procurement management and subcontractor engagement
* Cost tracking, progress reporting, and forecasting
* Quality assurance and ITP management
* Interface management with client, principal contractor, and site teams
* Leadership and mentoring of junior engineering staff
About You
* Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related discipline
* Strong experience as a Project Engineer on civil, structural, or specialist subcontractor packages
* Exposure to renewable energy, wind farm, or remote FIFO projects highly regarded
* Proven ability to manage procurement, planning, and site coordination
* Ready to take the next step into a Senior Project Engineer role
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
