Responsibilities

This is managed through regular toolbox meetings and allocation of properties. Undertake general maintenance items as required at the time, such as swapping gas bottles, replacing light globes, de-cobwebbing, using blower vac to clean around the house as required. Report any larger problems that may require specialist trades and update our electronic scheduling system.
2. Preventative maintenance at the houses
Preventative maintenance is assigned as required and completed throughout the week. Carry out non-trade related maintenance as assigned. This will include activities such as gutter cleaning, tree pruning, pest control, pressure cleaning and much more.
3. Reactive maintenance as required
Urgent guest issues may require some after-hours attendance that is remunerated accordingly. The nature of the short-stay industry is that there are often last-minute requests from guests, requests for maintenance during their stay or help required at a property for specific issues. This role involves a level of reactive maintenance and prioritisation of activities to allow for this. You must be flexible in your work to allow for this. Urgent issues arise during guest stays that affect their ability to safely and comfortably enjoy the holiday home which requires after-hours attendance to provide a solution to these issues and peace of mind to our guests. This responsibility is shared by the maintenance team, with the support of executive on-call assistance. The on-call component of this role is scheduled on a rotating roster once a month weekend on-call.
