Doral Mineral Sands Pty Ltd (DMS), has well established heavy mineral sands mining and processing facilities near Bunbury, Busselton and Mandurah in the Southwest of WA, along with a newly acquired operation in the Gascoyne Region. This multi-faceted role will provide an excellent opportunity if you enjoy a challenge and being an integral part of a small, motivated maintenance team.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and based primarily at our Keysbrook mine site approximately 25 kilometres northeast of Mandurah, the ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' post apprenticeship experience - mineral sands exposure is a bonus.
The position will be responsible for the successful completion of the following duties and roles:
* Provide the trade skills necessary to maintain the Keysbrook Mine site to ensure production targets and plant availability is maintained.
* Provide input into the development and continuous improvement of maintenance, inspection and lubrication schedules.
* Liaise closely with Production personnel and nurture a team ownership approach to Maintenance.
* Provide input into the cost and effectiveness of fixed plant maintenance.
* Provide input into the cost and effectiveness of spares and inventory levels.
Requirements essential;
* Relevant Trade Qualification – Mechanical Fitter (fixed plant)
* Current WA C class driver's license
* Three (3) year's post apprenticeship experience
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* A genuine commitment to the wellbeing and safety for yourself and your work colleagues
Requirements desirable;
* 1st Aid accreditation
* Mineral Sands experience
* Any relatable High-Risk certificates
