Role Outline
The Director, Procurement Centre of Excellence provides executive leadership, insights and advice by leading the development, delivery and embedding of the NSW Health procurement strategy, policy, probity requirements, commercial advice, contract management, supplier relationship management, data and analytical insights and business partnering, to ensure NSW Health optimises procurement value and delivers on organisational priorities and objectives.
The role manages the NSW Health procurement framework, processes and priority initiatives and navigates any procurement probity concerns for the NSW Health system.
To be successful in this role you will need to show an advanced level of ability to deliver in each of these areas of responsibility, leveraging the capabilities for the role and your experience. Integrity, collaboration, delivery of results, problem solving, optimising business outcomes and management of people are key role capabilities.
Your track record of notable and ongoing achievement in managing procurement probity, procurement framework delivery and policy navigation in a complex service delivery environment is key and will enable you to deliver excellent results in this role.
Success will also require a working knowledge and understanding of procurement and contract management best practice; as well as a practical ability to develop opportunities for enhancing organisational performance, competitiveness, business value and customer service.
You will also be expected to have a proven ability to meet procurement standards and maintain a safe and constructive workplace culture.
Ideally you will have a record of managing a geographically dispersed system of service delivery.

1. Describe your leadership and engagement approach to leading strategy excellence in a complex delivery environment.
2. Describe the approach you took to develop and deliver probity advice in a procurement scenario, include how you led for achievement, governed meeting standards and probity expectations and managed vendor and customer relationships and partnerships.
Essential Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
* Appropriate senior executive level experience and tertiary qualifications in a related disciple and/or equivalent relevant experience in a business or procurement related field.
* Understanding of Government policies and practice in the key accountability areas including procurement, business reform and corporate services.
* Sound knowledge of industry processes and practice associated with service agreements, contract management, contract law, probity and dispute resolution processes.
This is a Band 1, Health Service Senior Executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $255,878 to $280,824, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
