Existing application login Jobs at La Trobe Jobs home Current vacancies Working at La Trobe Overseas applicants Our employment strategies Details - Lecturer, Postgraduate Psychology Lecturer, Postgraduate Psychology Job No.: 569263 Work type: Fixed Term Part Time (0.60 FTE), fixed-term opportunity (until 20 July 2026) Can be based at La Trobe University’s Melbourne (Bundoora), Bendigo, or Albury Wodonga campuses Level B Teaching Focused Work with inspiring people who are driven to make a difference About the position A Level B, Lecturer with a teaching focused appointment is expected to develop curriculum, coordinate and teach subjects which provide a high-quality learning experience that engages students, including providing constructive, fair, and timely feedback on learning. This position may also include supervision and mentoring students engaged in clinical or professional work. You will be required to develop a scholarly approach to learning and teaching by contributing to La Trobe’s Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, including sharing of good practice. This includes attending to effective and efficient performance of allocated administrative functions primarily connected with the position. Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, you will have PhD or Masters degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline area. Professional qualification and experience, including: Full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); Approved or eligibility for approval as a supervising psychologist at the higher degree program level by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) Endorsement as a specialist in neuropsychology with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) is not required but would be an advantage Demonstrated ability to be effective in teaching and curriculum development in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes, as evidenced by, for example, high results on student feedback on teaching surveys relative to their peers, or through other forms of evidence. Demonstrated ability to engage with and produce outputs related to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning or program improvement more generally. Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively and productively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a collaborative and collegial manner.
