ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is approximately 6-9 hours per week
Regional Assistant Development Coaches (RADC) assist the Regional Development Coach (RDC) in developing Tasmania Talent Pathway Players. The Tasmania Talent Pathway focuses on developing individual players within a unique football landscape.
RADC roles are employed across the following programs in all our regional hubs (please indicate your preferences within the application):
- U18 Tasmanian Boys (Coates League)
- U18 Tasmanian Girls (Coates League)
- U16 Tasmanian Boys (National Championships)
- U16 Tasmanian Girls (National Championships)
This position involves planning, preparation, and delivery of training sessions, focusing on developing players' technical abilities in a protected and inclusive environment. The role contributes to player selection and development, monitors progress, and provides constructive feedback. Collaboration with coaching staff and alignment with program objectives are essential for positive player development. The role also includes participation in Regional and State training, match days, and interstate travel.
A DAY IN THE LIFE — Key Accountabilities
- Provide support to the relevant coach in planning training and match days.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment and culture within the region.
- Work with individual players to improve fundamental skills and provide guidance and confidence in their football careers.
- Act as a line coach and support player education.

- AFL Silver Coach Accreditation (or working towards AFL Coaching accreditation)
