Lead a team of skilled tradespeople to complete maintenance work on our diverse fleet of heavy mobile equipment. The role involves developing a culture focused on safety and efficiency, optimizing equipment reliability, and collaborating with operations teams to address daily issues.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our HME Workshop Maintenance team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will oversee a range of equipment, including Electric Drive Haul Trucks, Dozers, Graders, Watercarts, and Wheel Loaders, while working within our site's work management process to deliver safe and timely maintenance.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead a mixed trades team to complete quality work per the maintenance schedule
- Develop a culture focused on safety and efficiency that delivers optimal business results
- Support effective resource allocation to meet maintenance work schedules
- Provide advice on optimizing equipment reliability and availability
- Collaborate with operations teams to address daily operational issues
- Identify long-term process improvement opportunities and deliver projects to achieve outcomes
- Carry out all work safely and in accordance with correct operating procedures
Requirements
- Mechanical Trade Qualification (Diesel Fitting, Boilermaking, or Auto Electrical Trade)
- Hold Supervisor & Risk Facilitator competencies (S1, 2, 3, & G2)
- Strong understanding of open-cut mining equipment and mining technique
- Desire to continually improve as an effective supervisor and leader
