We are currently looking for a Electrical Fire Technician to join our dedicated team and support the growth of our business.
To be eligible for this position you must be a suitably qualified fire services technician, with experience in electronic fire systems and electrical installations with strong focus on the installation, testing and maintenance of conventional, addressable and early warning fire detection and alarm systems as a prerequisite.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
* Fault Finding
* Monthly Maintenance, Programming, Installation & Relocation of Fire Panels as and when required.
* Servicing / Installation of other fire related scopes would be advantageous (ie: Extinguishers, Hose Reels, Hydrants, and Mechanical Systems)
* Emergency Light Installation
* Re-wiring & Re-configuring of new or additional devices
* Servicing Existing & Contacting New Clients when required
* Assisting other staff when necessary.
Applicants will possess the following qualities & certifications:
* Strong Understanding & Knowledge of Australian Standards (AS1851)
* Strong focus towards safety
* Strong Knowledge of all aspects of the fire industry
* Be able to work on a roster basis. (Rosters to be determined at interview stage)
* Must hold a current manual drivers license
* A Grade Electrical License
* FPA Qualifications/Certification
* Certificate II in Fire Protection and/or QBCC Licenses and/or ACMA Licenses although not essential will be highly regarded
* Current white card
* Current WHS tickets, including high risk work license although not essential will be highly regarded
* Current EAHL License c/w min 2,3,6 accreditation
* Ability to work unsupervised whether in a team environment or alone
* Team player
* Mine-site experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good relationship building skills with high customer service focus
* 4wd & First Aid training advantageous
The ability to work away from home on a roster basis is essential, as is holding a valid manual drivers license and WA Electrical License.
The successful person will enjoy a long-term and rewarding position. After fulfilling induction and specific site requirements this person will be required for an immediate start.
