SCU Ventures plays a key role in the university's growth by helping build a vibrant, diverse student community. Position Purpose: The Head of Marketing is a key leadership role responsible for developing and executing the Company’s brand strategy and marketing initiatives to support student recruitment and broader Company objectives. The role oversees a small marketing team and leads the delivery of integrated campaigns, digital engagement, content strategy, and marketing automation. This position plays a critical role in shaping the Company’s public profile and driving brand visibility across all channels. This part-time (4 days), 12 month maternity leave contract role commences in early September 2025. Key Accountabilities include: Marketing and Brand Management Lead the development and execution of the Company’s brand strategy, aligned with strategic goals and student value propositions Ensure brand consistency and integrity across all touchpoints, enhancing reputation and recognition Manage market positioning to differentiate the Company from competitors and drive student interest Integrated Marketing Campaigns Lead the design and delivery of integrated brand awareness and lead generation campaigns to promote the Company’s programs and services Oversee the development of multi-channel marketing strategies including digital, traditional, and experiential activations Use data and market insights to optimise campaign performance and return on investment Content and Communication Oversee the creation of compelling content and communications tailored to target audiences including students, parents, and industry stakeholders Manage content strategy across all formats: web, social, video, print, and email Ensure all communications reflect the brand tone, values, and objectives Digital Experience and Marketing Automation Oversee the Company’s digital presence, including the website, social media, and digital advertising platforms Ensure effective UX and UI that support prospective student journeys, with defined audience personas and personalised pathways Implement and optimise marketing automation tools to support lead nurturing, engagement, and conversion Analytics and Innovation Monitor and report on key marketing metrics to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement Drive innovation in marketing approaches and stay informed of emerging trends and technologies Ensure marketing decisions are grounded in data and audience insights Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing marketing team Foster a collaborative, creative, and outcomes-focused team culture Oversee resource planning, capacity building, and staff development opportunities Selection Criteria: Ideally, the appointee should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience: Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in marketing, brand management, or related fields, with a proven track record in strategic leadership roles Extensive experience in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, traditional, and experiential channels Demonstrated expertise in digital engagement, marketing automation and user experience optimisation Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and manage cross-functional projects in dynamic environments Skills and Competencies Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills Strategic and innovative thinker with a strong understanding of brand positioning and market differentiation Advanced analytical skills with experience in leveraging data and insights to drive marketing performance and ROI Strong leadership capabilities, including mentoring, team development, and fostering a collaborative culture Exceptional project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure SCU Ventures (SCUV) is committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of its people.
