Strategic Planning Leader
The City Planning branch is responsible for delivering high-quality strategic land-use planning in a World Heritage Area with over twenty-five towns and villages.
* Lead key projects across the City Planning service, including strategic planning policies, town centre master plans, and the Local Strategic Planning Statement.
* Prepare and amend local environmental plans and development control plans.
* Manage master planning work for key centres, LEP amendments, and DCP updates.
* Advocate and coordinate with council groups and external agencies to achieve strategic planning objectives.
* Supervise a small team and provide strong people-management and community engagement.
Key Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in town planning or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in developing strategic land-use plans and policies, master plans, and LEP/DCP amendments.
* Passion for community engagement and customer service.
* Strong people-management skills to lead a small team.
