About the Role
The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting culturally safe and high-quality oral health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and their families. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Dental Assistant supports dentists and oral health professionals.

Qualifications and Registrations:
* Certificate III in Dental Assisting or extensive experience in dental assisting
Knowledge and skills:
* Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples' culture
* Ability to coordinate with other team members and programs
* Understand, adhere and contribute to QIP Accreditation standards and Infection control guidelines
* Demonstrated analytical, written and verbal skills, especially those required for servicing clients
* Willingness and capacity to learn and to modify service approach in response to changing client needs and circumstances
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team
* Willingness to travel for training and outreach programs
* The ability to lead with cultural sensitivity, maintain confidentiality, and prioritise tasks under pressure
* Strong decision-making skills, team leadership experience, and the confidence to guide RACGP accreditation processes
