Trading Representative / Account Manager

We are looking for a Trading Representative / Account Manager with a talent for negotiation and building lasting relationships. You will be responsible for sourcing scrap metal from suppliers in Western Australia, playing a vital role in our mission to lead the recycling industry.

Who We're Looking For

You are the ideal candidate if you bring a mix of people experience, skill, and drive.

* 5+ years in Account Management, Sales, or Buying roles
* Sales‐Driven Mindset: A proven track record in B2B sales, business development, or procurement (scrap metal or industrial sectors highly regarded).
* Strategic Negotiator: Exceptional ability to structure profitable deals and close new accounts.
* Market Awareness: Strong commercial acumen to analyse market trends and deliver solutions‐focused value to suppliers.
* Proven ability to build rapport and manage stakeholders at all levels

What You'll Do

* New Business Acquisition: Hunt for and secure high‐volume scrap metal supply opportunities with industrial, manufacturing, and demolition clients.
* Develop and manage supplier relationships to secure used ferrous and non‐ferrous scrap metal.
* Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure competitive procurement within company guidelines.
* Monitor key performance metrics and collaborate with Operations and Transport teams for smooth logistics.
* Act as the main point of contact for suppliers, resolving issues and maintaining positive partnerships.
* Complete accurate monthly reports and manage costs in line with budgets.
