Role Summary
The Site Manager role works collaboratively with the team to organize and deliver Wind Turbine Supply and Installation projects; safeguarding project commercial objectives; organizing technical, financial & field/construction resources ; integrating project installation/construction deliverables with Wind Turbine design, sourcing and delivery plans.
12 month contract rolling throughout the duration on the project.
Site location is Boulder Creek, near Rockhampton in QLD.
Preferable applicants must be local to the area or willing to relocate for the duration of the project. Or potential for a 3:1 roster for the right candidate.
Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday
Key Responsibilities
* First line of communication between Customer and GE Vernova at site
* Ensure EHS and Quality processes are implemented and strictly enforced
* Empower team to report any unsafe practices and take necessary actions to
pre-empt accidents/incidents.
* React immediately to any untoward incidents, communicate swiftly and transparently to senior management relevant stakeholders, take corrective actions to mitigate any situation.
* Participate in the performance of contracts, sub-contracts involving transportation, cranage, installation and commissioning crews.
* Define, develop, document, and roll our processes which will allow teams to capture
and apply lessons learned on installation and commissioning productivities on projects.
* Manage GE subcontractors and partners where required by Contract
* Manage interfaces between GE and Customer / other Contractors on site (e.g. handover acceptance of Turbine foundations and hardstand areas)
* Assist the Installation Managers with installation and site team coordination to deliver the project as per GE's internal schedule and budgets
* Verify Site Construction and Commissioning personnel have the appropriate training documentation
* Report site performance and productivity per the Site Manager handbook
* Assist with resolving issues by coordinating and integrating the activities of internal functions (finance, engineering, product quality, project teams) and external parties (contractors, sub- contractors, the client, the consortium partner).
About you
- Work efficiently without direct supervision & lead team projects personnel
- Previous Wind Farm delivery experience
- Previous GE WTG experience desirable
- Experience delivering projects in Queensland
- Knowledge of ISO & Safety Standard's
- Familiar with crane activities
- Knowledge on Renewable policies and national / state / regional requirements
- Good computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and knowledge of Database operations.
- Knowledge on Renewable policies and national / state / regional requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license and white card
