RAC Finance (RACF) specialise in market leading finance products and services ranging from personal finance, secured notes and property finance loans. As the AML/CTF Compliance Officer, currently reporting direct to the GeneralManager, you will manage all day-to-dayaspects of the AML/CTF program, including the operational function, quality assurance reporting and assisting all other areas of compliancewithin RAC Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Align leadership with RAC’s purpose, vision, and mission.
2. Create, implement and maintain internal policies, procedures and systems for AML/CTF Compliance
3. Proactively manage operational requirements and conduct ongoing analysis to ensure compliance to regulatory expectations and legislation including AML/CTF Act, AML/CTF Rules and AUSTRAC Compliance guidelines
4. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of AML/CTF legislation, regulations, and industry best practices within the Australian Banking & Finance sector
5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide summaries or presentations on regulatory changes and assessing their impact upon the business.
6. Providing internal advice and guidance as the AML/CTF subject matter expert to ensure our businesses comply with all AML/CTF obligations
7. Provide monthly assurance reporting to RACF Board and other key stakeholders through RACF General Manager
8. Maintaining and continuously improving our processes for transaction monitoring, alert management, and sanctions screening.
9. Represent RACF with business dealings with AUSTRAC and addressing any feedback on risk management regarding the AML/CTF program.
Attributes and Skills:
10. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret legislative regulations relevant to the operational functions of RACF such as National Credit Code & AML/CTF legislation
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and support relationships with internal and external stakeholders
12. Expertise in the AML/CTF regulatory environment and can clearly communicate those requirements to business stakeholders.
13. Can operate independently to ensure that regulatory, governance and compliance risks and issues specific to AML/CTF are identified, investigated and resolved in an appropriate manner.
14. Demonstrated assurance experience within financial services compliance and regulatory frameworks
15. Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
16. Proven ability to move beyond reactive approaches to think strategically to optimise opportunities and adhere to evolving compliance standards
