About the Role
The successful candidate will have the chance to participate in improving lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred services across a range of care needs, from short-term to complex, long-term cases. Responsibilities include:
* Providing assessments and reports;
* Identifying Occupational Therapy goals with clients and/or their families or carers;
* Developing Occupational Therapy intervention plans;
* Providing support in various settings, including home, community, schools, clinics, or via telehealth where appropriate;
* Developing individual resources and strategies for clients;
* Training parents, carers, and support workers;
* Attending Care Team Meetings and providing Occupational Therapy input.
Our Occupational Therapists have access to a variety of assessment tools.
The position is suitable for experienced practitioners and recent graduates alike, as we aim to tailor caseloads, supervision, and training to individual needs.
While our primary office location is in Darwin, opportunities exist to work regionally and within remote Indigenous communities. There is also an option to work from home for administrative and report-writing tasks.
Requirements
* A degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and registration (or eligibility to register) with AHPRA.
Desirable Experience, Interests, and Skills
* Experience or interest in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or trauma with complex needs;
* Experience or interest in comprehensive assessments of functional needs, sensory profiling, and holistic lifestyle assessments with goal setting;
* Experience or interest in administering and interpreting various assessment tools.
