About the Role
Hudson is partnering with an established organisation to seek for an experienced UX Designer to shape how users interact with reports, dashboards, and data-driven insights. This role is focused on designing clear, intuitive user experiences that empower users to understand complex information and make confident, informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design user-centred reporting experiences based on how different user groups consume and interpret data
* Translate business questions and analytical requirements into simple, intuitive interface designs
* Develop clear layouts, visual hierarchies, and interaction patterns across dashboards and reporting tools
* Design and optimise interactions such as filtering, drill-downs, and data comparisons to support analytical workflows
* Ensure designs align with enterprise standards, design systems, and brand guidelines
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to align design outcomes with business and data needs
* Facilitate workshops and design reviews to validate concepts and gather early feedback
* Clearly communicate design decisions, trade-offs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Skills and Experience Essential
* Strong UX and visual design experience, particularly across dashboards or data-heavy interfaces
* Solid understanding of layout, hierarchy, and information design principles
* Proven ability to simplify complex data and analytical concepts into intuitive user experiences
* Experience working with multiple stakeholders in large or complex organisational environments
Desirable
* Experience designing for analytics, reporting, or operational insights platforms
* Familiarity with design systems and scalable UX patterns
* Understanding of how users interpret charts, tables, and comparative data
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Information Design, or a related field
* Demonstrated experience in UX or visual design roles, ideally focused on reporting or insight-driven products
* Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environment

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
