Remuneration as a Senior Specialist will be considered and is subject to CE Approval
Face-to-face and telehealth psychiatry options available.
What You'll Be Doing
Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychiatry services are focused on delivering excellent clinical care to children and young people and supporting their families in line with evidence-based practice.
Providing contemporary comprehensive Specialist Child and Adolescent Psychiatry services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes, delivering a healthy community through quality care.
Providing clinical leadership, participating in quality improvement activities and providing training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

As a Visiting Medical Officer, you may be eligible for a range of financial benefits on appointment to a regional Hospital. Location & Working Environment
Work will be based in the Clarence Valley region, including the commercial and professional hub of Grafton. The region offers a high quality of life with proximity to beaches, bushwalking, and cultural sites.
Eligibility & Requirements
Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways
Child and Adolescent Advanced Training Certification
Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Psychiatry at the role delineation of the service
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team
Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement
Availability to participate in an on-call roster which covers Older Persons and Adult Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Valid unrestricted drivers' licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment, including overnight stays as required
