About the positions: The Food Services Assistant, under the guidance of the Chef/Cook, helps implement, monitor, and evaluate the Food Safety Program (FSP). They also assist in providing a variety of quality food and beverages that meet residents' individual needs and preferences.

Skills and Experience:

* Food Handling Course.
* A certificate relevant to the role (e.g. Certificate III Hospitality – Commercial Cookery).
* Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
* NDIS Screening Check.
* Experience in residential aged care, and hospitality or catering.
* To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.

Key Duties

* Assist in the preparation, serving, presentation, and delivery of high-quality meals and beverages to residents, ensuring they meet individual dietary requirements and preferences as specified by the dietician, speech therapist, or clinical care team
* Contribute to menu planning and the implementation, monitoring, and documentation of the Food Safety Program (FSP) in partnership with the Chef Supervisor.
* Ensure stock items are reported for ordering, and maintain a clean and safe work environment by promoting safe work practices.
* Support the ongoing quality review of the FSP, including tasks like recording temperatures and receipting goods.
* Ensure the timely and friendly delivery of meals, and report any concerns regarding food and beverages to the Registered Nurse in charge.
* Any other task not defined but within the employees skills, as directed by the organisation.
