Job Summary
* The Speech Pathology Department is seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join their team on a permanent basis.
* The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management across the lifespan.
This role reports operationally and professionally to the Director of Speech Pathology and provides services across hospital facilities.
About the Role
The Speech Pathology Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout hospital departments and community settings.
Speech Pathologists provide expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management for individuals needing help with communication and/or swallowing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver high-quality patient care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of speech pathology conditions.
2. Provide professional leadership and guidance to support the development of the Speech Pathology Service.
3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
4. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification.
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality patient care in a similar setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
