Position Overview

Reporting to the CSR Sales Manager, the Customer Service Representative will be responsible for developing and managing the existing customer base while building new business prospects at the Pirtek Canning Vale franchise location.


Key Responsibilities

Developing trust relationships with customers, understanding their needs and expanding business relationships by proposing value-adding solutions that meet their requirements.

1. Accountable for sales development of the market segment in their Franchise location.
2. Analyse the market segment within the assigned territory and identify potential and existing customer accounts with opportunities for Pirtek Fluid Systems products and services.
3. Implement direct sales strategies, including conceptual changes to traditional business methodology to obtain business from new and existing accounts.
4. Work with franchises to build successful sales levels, profitability, promotional and technical expertise.
5. Complete weekly and monthly reports before or by the due date set.
6. Achieve sales targets as set by the CSR Sales Manager for the assigned market sector and territory/region allocated.
7. Ensure all records are maintained in a secure and readily retrievable manner, including up-to-date CRM and sales opportunity pipelines.
8. Competent in CRM software applications, Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
9. Effectively manage the sales opportunity pipeline for the Pirtek Canning Vale Franchise location, increasing sales within the existing customer base and growth of new customers.
10. Develop, plan, and execute new customer acquisition strategies.
11. Ability to travel and work independently to ensure completion of customer call cycles.
12. Operate within provided account discount structures and relevant trading terms.
13. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Departments to execute product range promotions.
14. Manage customer expectations and execute the sale of products and services as industry-preferred solutions.
15. Ability to achieve sales KPIs with primary focus on revenue growth and gross margin.


Vehicle Use

1. Ensure company car is clean and tidy.
2. Communicate any grievances in a timely manner.
3. Adhere to company vehicle Policy.
4. Regularly schedule maintenance, inspections, and adhere to manufacturer guidelines.
5. Monitor fuel consumption and ensure optimal efficiency.
6. Ensure safety features are functional, follow traffic regulations, and conduct regular safety checks.
7. Monitor vehicle usage to avoid unnecessary downtime or inefficient routing.


Quality Assurance

1. Perform work in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
2. Comply with quality policies, procedures, practices, and management directions.
3. Participate in training as directed by supervisor and/or manager.
4. Notify supervisor or manager if unable to perform a task due to lack of competence.


Work Health & Safety (WHS)

1. Perform work in accordance with WHS AS/NZS 45001:2018 requirements.
2. Contribute to discussions or requests for feedback/consultation in relation to WHS policies and practices.
3. Taking reasonable care for health and safety of yourself and colleagues.
4. Comply with WHS policies, procedures, practices, general responsibilities, and management directions.
5. Ensure you do not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything which has been provided in the interest of health and safety.
6. Report any injury, incident, hazard or near-miss immediately.
7. Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times.
8. Notify supervisor and/or manager if requiring training to safely perform a task or operate machinery/equipment required by your role responsibilities.
9. Participate in investigation of workplace safety incidents where involved, witnessed the incident or have relevant knowledge.


Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Essentials

1. Driver's license (*Essential)
2. Must have the right to work in Australia
3. Available full-time
4. Strong interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal)
5. A strong attention to detail
6. A strong work ethic and pride in the quality of work
7. A professional appearance and presentation
8. Ability to display confidence in representing Pirtek
9. A willingness to learn and undertake training as required

Experience (Desirable)

1. Entry-level sales (0-5 years, preferably in an industrial business environment [B2B and B2C]; relevant training will be provided)
2. Solution-selling
3. Fluid-handling sales
4. Hands-on trade background in industrial truck, bus, construction, and automotive environments
5. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System
