**About the role**
The City's Family Services department has 2 Full time positions available 1 based out of the Korayn Birralee Child and Family Centre (Corio) and 1 based centrally at Geelong Wurriki Nyal. Both roles will provide high level administration support to the department in an efficient and effective manner with a strong emphasis on customer service. You will respond to queries from the general public, families and staff from across the Department/Organisation, as well as performing a range of administrative duties.
Two Full-time opportunities available.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide administrative support to Family Services staff including staff located off site eg: City Learning and Care Centre Directors, Kindergarten Teachers and Maternal and Child Health Nurses as required;
- Purchase equipment and other acquisitions in line with budgetary guidelines;
- Assist with processing invoices and purchase orders;
- Take minutes of committee meetings, forums and other community consultation sessions as required;
- Prepare statistical reports, correspondence, agendas, minutes and presentations for the department;
- Attend to telephone and customer service enquiries with a clear, professional manner;
- Coordinate records management systems and where deemed appropriate, create and maintain databases.
**About you**
Essential Experience:
- Several years' administrative experience;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes;
- Experience coordinating records management systems (electronic and hard copies), including the creation and maintenance of databases;
- Experience preparing reports, correspondence and presentations;
- Experience in conducting research, including using the Internet and drafting reports and correspondence;
- Current Working with Children Check.
