Responsibilities
- Manage referrals to the service with a timely, compassionate and supportive response, working collaboratively with the child, young person, their families/carers, and existing support network
- Undertake intake assessments (including triage and crisis responses) and make decisions about allocation of referrals to ensure best outcomes, supporting an integrated and streamlined pathway
- Single-session primary consultations and brief interventions, underpinned by Dialogical Practices
- Secondary consultations to key external services, building capacity, developing partnerships and team-oriented working
Essential
About you
- Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and eligibility for membership of AHPRA (or the appropriate professional body)
- Minimum 7 years’ clinical experience (5 years’ clinical experience for Psychology and Nursing)
Desirable
- Developmental Psychiatry Course or equivalent
- Training and experience in providing child and youth mental health services
Other Helpful Skills & Knowledge
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, especially further studies relevant to child, adolescent and young adult mental health
- Ability and/or interest in conducting research in the mental health field
