ASD EL1 Assistant Directors - Cybersecurity Assessor and Mitigation Evaluation
Join the Australian Signals Directorate as an EL1 Assistant Director in Cybersecurity Assessor and Mitigation Evaluation.
The EL1 Cybersecurity Assessor is responsible for delivering cybersecurity assessments and managing a team of cybersecurity assessors.
Key duties include:
* Managing and leading a team, providing clear communication, setting performance standards, and guiding team members.
* Demonstrating interpersonal skills to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
The EL1 for Mitigation Evaluation and Governance leads a team that develops advice to inform and harden high-assurance devices and performs technical assessments and threat modelling.
Key duties include:
* Developing advice to inform and harden high-assurance devices.
* Performing technical assessments, threat modelling, and vulnerability management.
* Delivering bespoke technical security guidance to customers.
* Engaging with Defence projects and multinational vendors.
About the Team
The Assessment and Authorisation section conducts assurance activities for classified systems, while the Mitigation Evaluation and Governance section provides technical advice on High Assurance products and Common Criteria standards.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in leading and delivering ICT cybersecurity assessments.
* Strong experience in security standards and regulations.
* Managing allocated resources and setting work priorities.
* Ability to fulfil supervisory duties, including developing and mentoring the cybersecurity assessment workforce.
* Experience leading a geographically dispersed workforce.
