Chief Executive Officer Job Description
The Chief Executive Officer is accountable for the overall administration of a national, digitally enabled scheme. They are responsible for executing the strategic direction set by stakeholders and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to participants.
Delivering these reforms requires strong leadership to drive significant uplift in organisational capability. Major transformations in service delivery, workforce development, and ICT systems are underway to meet government objectives.
The key duties of this position include:
Operational Leadership & Strategy Implementation
* Lead the execution of policy set by stakeholders.
* Oversee all aspects of service delivery, finance, integrity, and stakeholder engagement.
* Establish a clear strategic vision and inspire others to work towards it.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Engagement
* Work collaboratively with government agencies and disability sector organisations.
* Build and manage relationships with officials at various levels.
* Implement co-design and engagement activities with stakeholders.
Culture & Organisation Leadership
* Drive an inclusive culture that encourages employment and support of people with a disability.
* Shape the organisation's culture by fostering inclusive leadership and promoting accountability.
This role requires an experienced leader with expertise in delivering large-scale, complex service delivery, including transformational change. Key capabilities include public sector stewardship, financial management, stakeholder collaboration, and empathy.
Additional responsibilities include guiding a nationally implemented scheme, strengthening participant trust, and enhancing market sustainability. The CEO must demonstrate high-level judgement and professional integrity, with a deep understanding of issues affecting the disability community.
