Overview
Locum Mental Health Registered Nurse role with cmr, providing care across diverse divisions of mental health nursing, including community, inpatient, acute, and more. This is a minimum 12-week contract in regional and remote locations across Australia. In these dynamic roles, youll work in wide-ranging settings, performing case management, planning patient care, administering medication, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining precise documentation.
Responsibilities
- Acute Mental Health : Work in quick-paced acute care settings, managing urgent mental health crises, stabilising patients, and coordinating with emergency services. Apply crisis intervention skills to make a rapid impact in high-pressure situations.
- Inpatient Units : Deliver consistent, supportive care to individuals requiring intensive mental health support. Manage daily assessments, administer medication, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to stabilise and rehabilitate patients toward recovery.
- Community Mental Health : Provide case management, comprehensive assessments, and care planning for patients outside hospital settings. Build connections, empower clients, and support recovery journeys.

Qualifications
- Qualifications : Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions.
- Experience : A minimum of 5 years in mental health nursing, particularly in case management.
- Communication Skills : Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with patients and team members.
- Collaboration : Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Transportation : A valid drivers license for regional and remote roles.
