Eskleigh is seeking a compassionate and committed casual Youth Worker to join our team. This role involves supporting young people in a safe, empowering, and trauma-informed environment, with a strong focus on building trust, fostering independence, and promoting positive outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
* Availability for weekend work is essential.
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, with the ability to support young people in a calm, respectful and sensitive manner.
* Desirable Previous Out of Home Care experience working with children or young people.
* Excellent communication and de-escalation skills, with the ability to respond confidently and safely in challenging situations.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Providing day-to-day support, guidance, and supervision to young people.
* Building positive relationships and contributing to a stable, supportive environment.
* Implementing trauma-informed strategies to promote safety and wellbeing.
* Working collaboratively with the team to maintain consistent, person-centred care.
What we need from you:
* Current First Aid and CPR
* Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable Person's card
* NDIS Screening Tool
* Medication Endorsement is desirable but not required.
