About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Part Time position (14 per fortnight) within the Wadja Aboriginal Family Place.
Purpose of this role
Provide excellent clinical and culturally safe care to children seen in the Wadja Paediatric Outpatient Clinic
Contribute to overall team building and service planning
Maintain relationships with external stakeholders
Key Accountabilities
Clinical Services – Outpatients: Delivery of a weekly outpatient clinic (Wed pm) and attendance at the multidisciplinary team meeting (Wed am). Timely and accurate completion of patient related documentation, including EMR encounters, outpatient documentation and any other required documentation relevant to enhancing continuity of care.
Non-Clinical: Participate in discussions with the clinical lead Wadja and the manager of the Wadja Aboriginal family place related to the strategic direction of the service. Active participant in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Quality: Utilise information systems to enable informed decision making and care planning. Actively participate in risk management and quality programmes to improve organisational processes and own practices.
Education: Undertake continuing education opportunities to foster safe clinical practice, quality initiative and research. Undertake supervision and education within the clinical environment of Fellows, Registrars, undergraduate medical students and other relevant staff to foster safe clinical practice where applicable.
Your Skills and Experience
MBBS (or equivalent)
FRACP – General Paediatrics (or equivalent)
Specialist Registration with AHPRA and eligibility for medical registration within Victoria
Previous experience delivering outpatient care at a tertiary hospital or in a community setting (desirable)
Previous experience in delivering clinical services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families (desirable)

Compliance with RCHs "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedure
