About the Client
Our client is an Australian-based company and global leader in the design, manufacture, and assembly of aerospace and defence systems. Based in Tingalpa, Brisbane, they specialise in the production of high-quality aerospace components and mechanical systems that meet rigorous industry standards.
What you will be doing
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the hands-on assembly of aerospace mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic sub-systems. Working from technical drawings and adhering to strict quality requirements, your role will ensure all components are accurately assembled to customer specifications.
Your duties will include :
* Manufacturing and assembling aerospace components and sub-systems
* Installing aerospace fasteners, standoffs, rivets, and hardware to specification
* Applying adhesives, sealants, inks, and paint products as required
* Using shrink fitment techniques and precision tools
* Part marking in accordance with customer quality standards
* Supporting other team members and maintaining a clean workspace
* Reading and interpreting drawings and technical documentation
What you will need
To be successful in this role, youll bring a trade qualification in engineering or manufacturing (Certificate III in Engineering or a Certificate in Aeroskills) along with hands-on experience in aerospace assembly. You will also need :
1. Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes
2. A high attention to detail and ability to interpret 3D models
3. Proficiency with hand tools, powered hand tools, and measuring equipment
4. Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
5. Good written and verbal communication skills
6. Computer literacy and ability to extract key measurement data from technical drawings
7. Previous experience in aerospace component / system assembly (desirable)
8. Experience in aerospace MRO environment (desirable)
