Learn more at www.pavion.comPavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Telecommunications Data Technician to join our security business unit.Primary Responsibilities:Assist/ support HCC Technician(s) with repair/maintenance and installation of Healthcare Communication systems throughout New EnglandPerform low voltage cable installation, cable management, cable terminations, device installation, general installation support for Foreman, and other assigned support duties as requiredAssist in producing accurate documentation of the system commissioning, certification, and testing resultsProvide daily project status updates, as required, and communication to the Project Management teamThink clearly and logistically to make accurate decisions based on personal and professional judgement and verifiable criteriaBasic Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 0-2 years' experience with the installation and commissioning of low voltage/ Data Communication systems including Healthcare, Audio/Visual, and Telephony systemsSome construction/ industry experience requiredCabling and low voltage infrastructure experience requiredOSHA 10 requiredReliable transportation and a valid drivers' license requiredProficient communication skills, especially working in occupied and sensitive environmentsProficient in cabling best practices- running, supporting, and terminating category rated and multiconductor cablingExperience with Fire Stopping; must be able to fire stop any penetrations made or foundProficient with computers and basic Microsoft Windows Applications.Experienced with basic low voltage crimp tools, testing tools (meters, toners, etc.) and the use of other construction related tools (ladders, drills, etc.)Must be able to demonstrate persistence, tactfulness, and responsibility; maintain silence regarding confidential information; make decisions based on personal judgement and verifiable criteria; deal effectively with people in actual job duties beyond giving and receiving instruction; read and interpret job scopes, one lines, floor plans, test reports and other related project documentation.Must be self-motivated and work well with others in a team environmentMust possess strong written and oral communication skillsMust be able to travel throughout New England as required (RI, MA, NH, ME)Must be able to work off hours if/when projects require it (second and third shift)Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Nurse Call systems/ equipmentPhysical Requirements:Must be able to see and hear clearlyMust be able to distinguish between colors (naturally or with correction); speak clearly; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; coordinate eyes and hands rapidly and accuratelyMust be able to climb and maintain body balance; lift, carry or push objects weighing up to 50 lbs; crouch, stand and/or walk carrying equipment for long periods of timeCompensation range-$26-$32/hr depending on experience.Disclaimer: This job description should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position.
