Child Protection Caseworker
Description:
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role. As a Child Protection Caseworker, you will be responsible for responding to reports of safety concerns surrounding children or young people who may have been harmed.
This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other agencies and engage in complex problem solving. You will work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people to assist them in formulating goals that align with their needs.
Key responsibilities include developing safety plans, completing risk assessments, managing cases and situations, including working with high needs and high-risk clients and their families, and being involved in court processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science and Welfare, or a related field, along with practical experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to build positive working relationships, are essential requirements.
A valid driver's licence (P1 or above) and a paid working with children clearance number are also required.
