The Opportunity
IMDEX is a leading global mining technology company, and we're on the lookout for an exceptional Senior Valuation Specialist to join our high‑performing Finance team. In this pivotal role, you'll take ownership of complex valuation activities for M&A, strategic investments, divestments, and internal product development—directly influencing decisions at the highest level of the organisation.
The Senior Valuation Specialist leads valuation activities across the organisation, delivering sophisticated financial modelling, strategic insights, and critical decision support for senior leadership and the Board. You'll play a key role in supporting global transactions, optimising strategic investments, and shaping best‑practice valuation frameworks across IMDEX.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain advanced financial models for M&A, business development and internal product investments
Conduct scenario, sensitivity and risk‑adjusted analyses
Support due diligence, transaction execution and post‑acquisition integration
Develop standardised valuation frameworks across IMDEX
Prepare decision‑ready valuation reports for Senior Management and the Board
Collaborate with Finance, Legal and commercial teams to ensure strong governance and optimal deal structures

You bring commercial acumen, strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions. With extensive exposure to M&A and investment evaluation, you're able to translate complex financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations that support confident decision‑making at senior levels.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
CA / CPA / CGMA / CFA qualification (desirable)
10+ years' experience in corporate finance, investment banking or professional services
Advanced financial modelling capability and strong analytical skills
Proven experience supporting M&A, divestments, or strategic investment decisions
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight deadlines
Strong relationship‑building skills and the confidence to challenge assumptions
