About the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the Site Supervisors across various projects, and be fully responsible for the planning, organizing and managing of the assigned project site(s).
Responsibilities
* Manage a team of 4-6 Site Supervisors.
* Review project plans, schedules and specifications, and comment on construction design, scheduling, potential cost savings measures, and construction issues.
* Forecast operational requirements, allocate labor and trade resources on assigned projects, and ensure labor is used to optimum performance.
* Monitor performance of construction crews and subcontractors to ensure alignment with the scope of works.
* Attend site meetings with Construction Manager, liaise with clients, contractors, or subcontractors to discuss projects and resolve issues.
* Schedule ordering materials and perform quantity takeoffs.
* Monitor cost control and liaise with Construction Manager on potential issues.
* Identify, analyze and report on variations.
* Maintain OHSE&Q management: inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate hazards, maintain control of company vehicles, equipment, plant and tools, and enforce high-quality OH&S practices.
* Ensure security of commercial information and documentation, and support implementation of Premiers management systems across assigned projects; propose changes to improve efficiency where appropriate.
The Successful Candidate Will Likely Have
* 5 or more years of field experience in a similar role.
* Able to manage multiple projects across South Australia.
* Excellent supervision, organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling tools.
* Knowledge of Australian Construction industry codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
