Job Title
Power Systems Worker is a critical role within our organization. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team in maintaining and operating our electricity distribution network.
About the Role
* The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and fault/emergency restoring our electricity distribution network.
* You will work as part of a team to deliver safe, reliable, timely, and cost-effective supply of electricity to our communities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs of station equipment such as transformers, switchgear, etc.
2. Conduct electrical tests, interpret results, and write reports on tests of substation equipment.
3. Read, interpret, and implement manuals, construction drawings, standards, regulations, technical procedures, and instructions.
4. Carry out general metal fabrication and earth grid bonding using oxy/LPG cutting, brazing, and welding processes.
5. Undertake testing and treatment of oil in substations' equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Working knowledge of electricity distribution network assets.
* A detailed practical knowledge of metering and communications installation, testing, and maintenance techniques.
* A proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team and communicate with customers and colleagues.
