Cornubia Early Learning is seeking an experienced and passionate Centre Director to lead our dynamic team. Our centre is a full-service early learning centre welcoming children from six weeks to six years of age, nestled amid the leafy bushland of Cornubia.
About Us: We believe childhood should be simple, joyful, and full of discovery. Our programs balance care, education, and play, giving children the freedom to explore the world through their own eyes.
At Cornubia Early Learning, each day is an adventure; a journey helping children connect with nature, build resilience through play, and prepare for the next stage of learning.
Your team will emphasise "real play" — where shoes are optional and getting dirty is compulsory. This is about returning children to their Wildhood, spending time outdoors playing in the sandpit, digging in the garden, feeding our farm animals, and splashing in the water park.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overall management and smooth operation of the service
* Proactive management of key financials, including occupancy, rostering, fee collection, and wages
* Leading and mentoring educators to achieve excellence and maintain strong professional relationships.
* Ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining documentation accessible to families
* Creating a friendly, secure, and stimulating learning environment
* Maintaining high health and safety standards – including clear expectations and understanding around Child Safe requirements
* Developing and maintaining the centre's Quality Improvement Plan
* Creating an environment for staff that supports individuals' health and wellbeing.
Selection Criteria:
* Proven leadership, management, and relationship-building skills
* Diploma of Children's Services qualification/degree in early childhood learning
* Ability to adapt quickly, think strategically, and use initiative.
* Current valid Blue Card, First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis Management Certificate, and Child Protection training
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is a bonus, but not a requirement
* Excellent knowledge and application of legislative and regulatory frameworks
* Demonstrable ability to connect with the community and form effective working relationships
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
