Electrician - Hazardous Area Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrician with Hazardous Area certification to join our Maintenance team at the HMAS Defence Base in Shoalhaven.
This is a unique opportunity to work in the Australian Defence environment and support the national security requirements of the Nation.
The successful applicant will have a strong track record of working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas, and hold a Cert IV Instrumentation and A-grade electrical licence. Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) training is required, as well as confined space and working at heights tickets.
The role involves performing scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment, diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment, project work on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment, and supporting subcontracted work packages.
* Maintenance Tasks:
* Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment.
* Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment.
* Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment.
* Support subcontracted work packages as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Report to a Maintenance Supervisor.
* Work based at HMAS Albatross, supporting surrounding locations in the Shoalhaven region, with occasional regional travel.
* Be part of a core crew of UGL technicians.
