Position: Veterinary Ophthalmologist
Location: PetVISION at Aura Veterinary Hospital.
Full-Time / Part-Time: 5 days per week. No weekends or public holidays.
Salary: Competitive and based on experience

Pet VISION was established 16 years ago on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in QLD. We are a referral only eye clinic and pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care to our furry patients. A fast-paced affordable clinic located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Australia. A relaxed, banter driven team, that are highly skilled in geriatric, brachycephalic and diabetic fasting procedures and anaesthetics. We all like to have a laugh and generally enjoy music during surgeries. We lease 2 rooms from a Veterinary hospital in Aura estate and pride ourselves on our regular vet rapport.

10 - 15 mins from the beach and approx. 1 hour from Brisbane city centre.Aura Veterinary Hospital, Baringa, QLD, Australia 4551. Servicing referrals from Far North Queensland to the Gold Coast.
The Role
* Diagnose and manage ocular diseases, disorders, and trauma, including surgical procedures (e.g. ulcer treatment including corneal autologous grafting procedures, complex lid surgeries and cataract surgery (phaco-emulsification)
* Provide education and guidance to pet owners for the benefit of their pet
* Liaise with referring vets by giving verbal opinion, backed up with written advice on cases they request an opinion on
* Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with clinic protocols and standards
* Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary ophthalmology and incorporate them into your practice
* Maintain practice morale with daily jokes & witty comments
* DVM/VMD or equivalent degree
* Post-graduate qualifications or pre-registration Registrar in Veterinary Ophthalmolology, whilst highly desirable, isn’t a necessity
* Strong diagnostic and surgical skills or the ability to learn and apply
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
* Passion for providing high-quality, compassionate care to pets and their owners
