Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Officer to join our team in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about risk management and compliance, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical problem-solving skills, be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and possess strong organisational skills.
As a key member of our Underwriting Performance team, the successful candidate will play a critical role in embedding best-practice compliance processes and effective risk controls.
Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day monitoring of legislative and regulatory compliance obligations.
* Provide support to leaders in enhancing the effectiveness of compliance processes and resources.
* Manage Ansvar's Broker Agreement Process and ensure agreements are accurate and compliant.
* Manage the day-to-day monitoring of complaints in accordance with legislative and regulatory compliance obligations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Risk & Compliance expertise – strong understanding of risk and compliance functions, regulatory frameworks, and ability to implement effective controls.
* Analytical Problem-Solving Skills – ability to apply sound judgement, analyse complex information, and develop practical solutions.
* Communication & Collaboration – excellent written and verbal communication skills, active listening, and ability to work both independently and within a team.
* Planning & Time Management – highly disciplined with strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
* Adaptability & Continuous Improvement – positive approach to change, commitment to high standards, and willingness to learn and share knowledge.
