Who you'll be working with

Our Host Employer is a well-established hospitality business based in the beautiful Hunter Valley Wine Region with over 20 years of experience, operating a busy venue that includes à la carte dining, functions and events. They are known for their strong team culture, high standards and commitment to developing apprentices through varied and hands-on kitchen experience.

You'll gain exposure across different kitchen environments, allowing you to build well-rounded skills and confidence as you progress through your apprenticeship.

This opportunity is open to a 1st/2nd/3rd year Apprentice Chef who is keen to learn, grow and be part of a professional kitchen team.

What you'll need

* A genuine interest in cooking and hospitality
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
* Good communication skills and attention to detail
* Driver's Licence and own transport (due to location)

What you'll be doing

Working full-time across a rotating roster, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

* Assisting with food preparation and cooking across kitchen sections
* Learning kitchen operations in à la carte and function settings
* Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
* Supporting senior chefs with service and daily tasks
* Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly
* Developing your skills towards qualification in Commercial Cookery

As part of this apprenticeship, you will be PAID to complete a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery through structured on-the-job training and off-the-job study.
