Mackay Regional Council is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented
Capital Program Officer
to lead the governance and development of our capital works program. This role is pivotal in ensuring our infrastructure investments align with organisational priorities and deliver long-term value to the community.

As part of the Asset Management team, you will work under limited direction to manage prioritisation tools, contribute to capital planning frameworks, and collaborate across departments to enhance program delivery. Key Responsibilities
* Leadthe governance and development of the 10-year Capital Program.
* Maintain and improve prioritisation tools and frameworks.
* Provide accurate and timely reporting on key performance indicators and program progress.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to configure and enhance corporate systems supporting capital planning.
* Manage significant projects and functions aligned with strategic objectives.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
About You
You are a proactive professional with strong analytical and project management skills. You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about delivering infrastructure solutions that benefit the community.
* QLD "C" Class Drivers Licence
* Significant experience in capital planning, asset management, program governance, or a related field.
* Well-developed computer operation skills with the ability to use corporate systems and Microsoft Office products, particularly a specialised level in the use of the Excel program
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications
* Project Management or Business Analysis qualification.
* Asset Management certification (e.g. CAAM).
