At Five Good Friends, we help older Australians and people with disabilities live independently in their own homes. We are growing our team of dedicated Home Care Support Workers (Helpers) to provide essential Domestic Assistance and Community Support to our Members. We are Five Good Friends, and we are an approved aged care and registered NDIS service provider. We help our clients (we call them Members) live vibrantly in their own homes by wrapping our care teams around them and their families.

We currently have two opportunities in Victor Harbour South Australia and surrounding areas/region. This role is permanent part-time working 3-4 full days (9am - 5pm) across Monday - Friday.

About the role

We are looking for two part-time skilled and experienced Support Worker located in the Victor Harbour surrounding areas.

* As a Home Care Support Worker, you will visit 3-4 Members per day, providing hands-on assistance to help them maintain their homes and daily routines. Most of your work will involve the following:
* Cleaning & Household Support – (70% of the role) Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry, and general tidying.
* Meal Preparation – Helping with grocery shopping and light meal prep.
* Transport & Community Access – Driving Members to appointments, shops, or social outings.
* Companionship & Wellbeing Support – Encouraging social interaction and friendly conversation.
* Important: While some Helpers also provide Personal Care (e.g., showering, dressing, medication support), this role is primarily focused on Domestic Assistance and community support.

Do you have what it takes?

* You will have a minimum of two years experience in the aged care, primary/community healthcare or disability sector providing personal support and care
* You enjoy practical, hands-on work and take pride in keeping homes clean and organised.
* You are reliable, friendly, and respectful – able to build trusting relationships with Members.
* You have strong time management skills and can follow a schedule moving between homes.
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
* A National Police Check & NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
* IT literacy – Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for work-related tasks.
* You have a driver's license and access to a reliable car (travel between clients is required).
