Aircraft Maintenance Specialist
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Aviation Maintenance professional to support the maintenance of fixed-wing strike fighter aircraft as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Armament.
This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland.
* Ensure aircraft systems, associated components, and equipment are properly maintained within the scope of applicable trade qualifications, training, competency, and Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) authorisation(s).
* Prepare, handle, load, and maintain aircraft weapon systems, including the aircraft gun system, bombs, and countermeasures.
* Install, test, and ensure correct functionality of armament systems in accordance with Authorised Maintenance Data (AMD).
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Armament).
* Sound knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework.
* Australian citizenship.
* High level of verbal and written communication skills.
* Australian NV1 Defence security clearance or ability to obtain.
