We're Looking for a Store Manager in Coolalinga

Outback Batteries is a tight-knit team, and the person we hire will be the heart and soul of our Coolalinga operation.
You'll become the go-to expert for everything from car batteries to basic solar setups, making a real difference in the lives of our customers—from local families and mechanics to station owners and tourists exploring the Top End.
What You'll Be Doing
This is a role for a real doer, where you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations and the long-term growth of the store.
Think of it as your own business, with the full backing of a successful, family-owned, nationwide Australian brand.
Your core mission is to create an incredible experience for our customers while building a killer team and hitting your targets.
Your day-to-day will look like this:
Lead the charge: You'll be the captain of your ship, providing amazing, old-fashioned service with a country-style smile.
Be a problem-solver: From diagnosing a flat battery to advising on a complete 12-volt system, you'll be the expert people trust.
Grow the business: You'll create and execute a growth strategy for the store, spotting new opportunities and building relationships with local businesses.
Build your team: As you grow the store you'll recruit, mentor, coach, and empower staff, creating a positive and high-performing environment where everyone is excited to come to work.
Keep things running smoothly: You'll oversee everything from sales and quoting to stock management and safety, ensuring the store is always tidy, safe, and ready for business.
What We're Looking For
You're a natural leader with a reputation for putting the customer first.
You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty, and you have a genuine interest in what makes a business tick.
You'll Bring:
Experience that counts: You've got at least 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of excellent customer service and sales success (Industry Specific Experience is desired but not essential).
A knack for leadership: You lead by example and know how to empower your team to be their best.
A business brain: You understand the fundamentals of retail, including monitoring KPIs, and you're always looking for ways to improve performance.
