The Opportunity
A leading hand is sought in the workshop to support coordination and supervision of service activities according to company standards and procedures. This includes coordinating technicians, parts contractors, and other relevant parties involved in each job.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and assist supervising workshop staff on repairs of equipment and components in accordance with manufacturers' standards within the laid-down time frame.
* Issue appropriate documents and work instructions to workshop technicians and apprentices to ensure a complete understanding of work requirements and labor times on each job or task.
* Maximise own and team labour output through job control and communication with workshop staff.
* Apply safe working practices, including a high standard of housekeeping.
* Ensure employees and sub-contractors adhere to company HSE requirements.
* Assist Workshop Supervisor with job estimations and planning, including job progress.
* Monitor consumable spend, subcontract costs, and labor hours booked to jobs.
* Provide technical support and product information to staff and customers when required in a professional and efficient manner.
* Liaise with customers and staff in a courteous manner using customer support charter as guiding principles of all interactions.
